Wasn't being snarky, I'm aware of the possibility AG&D demoted it to D.
But I somewhat agree. They do have use in Bullet Hell since the only thing to do there is to go for the boss. By that time though, you are likely to have an active that's still 5x more useful.
Cartographer's Ring is useful to let you know where the things on the floor are. Can see where the chests or shops are and head for them first. Also lets you know exactly where the tomb is on floor 2, if you are going for Abbey. Admittedly it is probably one of the least useful things in the game. But I'd still rather get it than Klobbe or Sawed-Off.
Sense of Direction just needs like 7 more synergies to not suck completely
If I recall, the ring doesn't reveal secret floors, so its actual usefulness is trivial considering I end up exploring every room in floors 1 thru 5 anyways.
