The Megahand deals massive damage when fully charged and because of its ammo count is ridiculously ammo efficient, allowing you to go through an entire floor by using naught but half its ammunition, on any floor of the game, even the secret ones. however, it is also slow which is its major drawback.

and when i say slow i don't mean slow as in lil bomber slow where it takes an eternity to fire and even longer to reload. the DPS of the megahand is so low i almost never use the gun against bosses, but for mobs instead.

its so powerfull that there isn't really a boss to take advantage off to use it to its full potential. i can only think of jammed bosses that the megahand would be well suited against, but these virtually never appear unless your curse is higher than five. other then that, good targets are early bosses to save ammo ,but thats it. no boss has enough health to seriously challenge the megahands damage to bullet ratio, wasting its potential.

the best way to use the gun is as a clearing gun, something to kill ordinary enemies on ordinary floors and to use your guns with much higher DPS against bosses. trust me, once you fight the hardest bosses in the game, you will be reaching for rocket launchers and shotguns alot more then the megahand.

op? yes, if overpowered means its so powerful it comes back to just being a good gun. i wouldn't be opposed to a nerf that takes some ammo away from it ,but aside from that, the megahand doesn't exactly win you games, only in an indirect manner at best, which is something that can be said about any gun.

also, bonus comment on the heroine: it is just a megahand designed for bosses. less ammo, takes longer to charge, more damage. works actually better against bosses for that reason, because of the shifted focus from ammo to damage, which increases the general DPS, but it is still slow as balls because of that stupid longwinded charge up, making the gun even less appealing in high stress situations then the megahand.

Guns like Anvillain, Megahand, and Heroine are really efficient room clearers, but aren't as good for bosses. They're not exactly OP, but they'll let you save a lot of ammo on your other guns for when it'll be needed for bosses and bullet hell.

They're probably among the best of their tier, but they don't win a run by themselves (they do outside of bosses, of course)

Yeah, I cleared the entirety of the Hollow, 4-shotting Shelletons, but against the Kill Pillars I failed miserably. Didn't kill a single one, but got almost all of them past half health

i wouldn't put the anvillain in that basket, considering how fast it reloads and shoots. the travel speed of the bullets may be a sucker, but considering the majority of bosses are mostly stationary or slow moving, it barely matters. not to mention it penetrates enemies, making it alot more useful against certain bosses like the beholster and kill pillars. its a much better boss killer then the other two.

You have to push reload while the current magazine is full.

I love Megahand + Balloon Gun. Lets me fire off those awesome twister shots without the fear of getting hit and popping my gun.
