I've also beat the Lich with 3 characters, working on the rest currently.
-standing still is better than walking in most cases, especially for me because it makes it easier to track bullets plus some enemies like to track to where you are going to be
-Start off with the Hunter or the Space Marine, both have good starting weapons and items, the dog is especially nice because its effect is independent of a room clear bonus, meaning you can get double or triple items
- if you havent unlocked Ser Junkan, destroy any chest that you think you don't need. This one is a case by case basis, if you can bet the first boss with the starting weapons, then destroy any brown or blue chest. Pick up any and all junk, he has a 20 percent chance of spawning from a destroyed chest before he is unlocked. For each piece of junk that you have, it upgrades him to a companion that can do damage, blank bullets, and save you from death for each piece of junk. Have seven and it turn him into an angel of destruction, but he cant save you from death or blank anymore. From what I understand, he doesnt "unlock" until youve upgraded him into a knight and beat a boss with him.
-Mimics breathe like in dark souls, if your unsure if its a mimic and you dont have the dog to bark at it, wait a couple a secs to see if it moves. The higher you sin, the more likely it is to run into a mimic
I will quote myself:
because honestly the bosses are the easy part, its the rooms filled with 10 shotgunners a shelleton and 2 of those floating dice slimes that get you.
