Tips for the punch out fight

Does anyone have any tips? Like do you hit him when he glows yellow for a second ? I am having a hard time beating him

You should mark the title for Spoilers honestly... There is a video on youtube where someone clears the punch out fight. I only watched it once so I am unsure. But RR has some pretty interesting and rat like moves in his arsenal.

I got one. Disregard dodging right or left entirely.
The way i do it is as follows. Everyattack except for the tail swipe he does from the 2nd round onwards, as well as that spin attack that he does in the 3rd round can be dodged and coutered by dodging backwards ( with s ).
Since u get a bonus key whenever u K.O a round with super, keep dodging back and attacking, and when he does that attack where he Goes back slightly and throws a punch counter him when he glows yellow to get the supers.
Anything that cant be dodged, just block.

How to get the keys though ? So far he drops a key
I haven't beaten him ...I almost did just now but time ran out

I seriously have never ever complained about any boss in this game because I am just extremely good at bullet hell stuff and dodging bullets, in my first time fighting the rat's 2 phases I beat him without getting hit at all, but so far I lost the punch out 4 times

So I figured that I don't need to dodge left or right because i can just block or dodge back
but I saw the video and it showed how to disable him from healing but sometimes it doesnt work, is ther an exact timing on it ? cuz he just punches me and eats the cheese

Also how many keys does he drop if beaten ? or do you need to beat him while hes eating chees to drop the keys or how does this work ?

Also I GOTTA point out that not one single guide to get the "Advanced fight" have explained that the serpent is in a secret wall in the chest room after finishing the punch out guarded by a door that needs 2 rat keys

I understand, felt the same way the 1st like 5 times i didnt get more.
Soo the keys works as follows
U get 1 key as soon as u hit him the 1st time. U get another one random by hitting him in phase 2 or 3. The other 3, as far as i know, that u can get is by ending a round by using a super (discovered that recently).
Max ive seen ever is 5 keys soo far. 2 for the phases and 3 by ending round 1, 2 and 3 with super.

By hitting the rat when he glows yellow. Easiest time is when he either does just 1 draw back shoulder punch, or when he spams 3 of them during the 2nd and 3rd rounds. u can just block the 1st one, and hit the 2nd time or the 3rd time.

honestly the cultist probably wouldnt be able to get on top of the destroyed mech where the fight takes place because they're the cultist
