Red vending machine

So i came across this machine in the shop on the first stage, cant seem to interact with it and it looks like its got a burger on top of it, any ideas ?

It gives you the hearts you "save later"

I find it odd that the vending machine isn't available at the Lift down to the next floor. So you gotta backtrack to either the start of the current floor or the shop to refill health before going to the next floor...

Isn't it available at the lift down to the next floor though?

Yes, it will be in the store as well as the lift down to the next floor. You should be able to warp to it either way.
