what does the fish guy with the hat do????
so I unlocked a cell and there was a guy that kinda looked like a fish man with hat so he went to the breach but what does he do?????? he doesn't give you a quest or anything so.......

EDIT: i did it and came back and he was nowhere to be found

Once you knock the helm down and rescue the ledge goblin (that's his name apparently) enough
times you'll unlock the blast helmet as an item. it reduces explosive damage taken.

ok I searched it in the wiki and it appears that he has literally no purpose and does nothing

You have to rescue him again. Then just keep doing it (3 times total).

Kick his helmet off the cliff, repeatedly do it and free him in the gungeon each time you find him you get something if you do it enough times

My advice, don't bother. The blast helmet is one of the most dead weight items in the game and that's an extra hard gut punch considering all the work you gotta put into unlocking it.
