How to use "Blank" with an xbox gamepad?

I'm new and playing the tutorial. Now I have to use the blank skill but It seems I don't understand the explanation.
"Clicking LS and RS in at the same time"
I think LS means the left moving stick and RS means the right moving stick.
So I try to move both in the same direction(upward in this time) but It doesn't work at all.

You need to press them like the other buttons, you can go up, left, right, down and you can press the analogs

click the sticks in at the same time. Press down on the sticks, they are buttons too.

I remap blanks to the B button. Works way better.

Same. I turned off the "push both sticks in" option because I kept doing it by accident.
