Also, as it was mentioned before - kill knives as fast as possible, save some blanks to deal with patterns that are too hard for you (for example, when bullets come from both sides, though there is some kind of savespot in the bottom corners). Try to use dodge roll when you're sure you're not gonna end up on a bullet.
Decent build also helps A LOT. I mean, you can find Crown of Guns and Remote Bullets and basically disintegrate Dragun. But it's totally possible to kill it with an average build, it just takes more time and the chance of mistake grows with time.
The last tip is don't forget to break the skull to get the casing from it after the fight.
Unlike Binding of Isaac, the first two floors more or less determine your chances of reaching/defeating the Dragun. I get the impression there are very few actual synergies, and picking up health upgrades is usually very hard.
