That totally messed me over. My first run I got clone, went to bullet hell and died after the last chest. Went through again getting all the chests.

Respawned as gunslinger and never saw any good items from rainbow chest I got my first run. Basically my rainbow chests as gunslinger felt like brown chest. Died on mines still using his default gun for most everything.

Also maybe I'm crazy but once I was gunslinger 90% of rooms had vet shotguns in them. And as gunslinger when I fought the sewer slime boss he had the little guy in the boss battle thats normally with the bullet king.

Also since my first lich kill was with paradox, I wasn't credited with beating the lich...

Rainbow mode makes the game harder in my opinion. I unlocked the gunslinger on my first attempt (collected all five master rounds as the paradox too), and it was mainly because of useful synergies between mediocre items. The Ghost Bullets + Proton Pack synergy made my paradox run a piece of cake. As the gunslinger, a green chest dropped the master of unlocking item, which basically guaranteed I'd drown in keys and be able to unlock every chest. The old king dropped the partially eaten cheese for me, which helped a lot with bullet hell, and I looted the vulcan cannon from a red chest to use as my boss killer.

lol a lot of those things you just described are VERY VERY good drops. Partially Eaten Cheese is an A class active item, and Proton Pack is a genuinely decent weapon. Master of Unlocking is only slightly worse than the Shelleton Key. Even Ghost Bullets are pretty decent.

I did it on my second attempt in a rainbow chest run, I just was very, VERY, VERY!!!!! lucky and got a clone with the slinger, beside that is impossible, the dual lich battle is absolute BS.

Unless I see otherwise, no matter what on your first run to beat lich, don't take clone so it'll have a good shot to show up for your slinger?

I've yet to see clone show up after I've already taken it on any rainbow run. Even once lost and run two starts, it never showed up again.

I'd also probably not take make shift cannon or duct tape, just so he can get them?

I have my computer and monitor and 2 consoles hooked up to my Uninterrupted Power Supply box. Even when the power goes out or somehow the cable from the box to the wall came unplugged I still got about an hour or two of PC play and maybe 4 hours of console play, plenty of time to save yourself haha. Can be pricey but I would suggest a UPS Box and of course better cable management.
