You don't just dislike the item, but you get it all the effing time too.. For me it's charmed bow. I swear I get 3 charmed bows every 4 effing runs. WTF

If black and red mimics aren't bad in the first place because you're just good enough, why do you even care about a D item being a ring of mimic friendship at all? What would you rather have gotten in your D chest?

How do you reconcile "That item sucks just git gud and you don't need it." with "I'm mad I got this item instead of a 5% better one."? Like can't you just say that first line to literally anything?

Theres a lot of D tier items I like that can be very powerful.

Scope, backpack, Ammo Belt, Decoy, lead skin, double vision, gun friendship, knife shield, Battery Bullets, lich finger, Holey Grail, Lodestone Ammolet, Table Tech Money, Drill.


I've had 1 floor last week where I got a black market on floor 2. Decoy let me steal 5 times on that floor.

Holey Grail is like an S-tier item hiding out in D-tier. Same with Drill. Because while your drilling, beating waves can actually drop stuff itself, even an extra chest. Plus more likely to get the other payday items.

I am aware i still find them painful to fight. just like you find the rat painful to fight and not when i find the rat to be one of the better gungeon bosses.

I'm done with the rat, I don't have any reason to fight him anymore. Theres zero positive to fighting the advanced dragun. And the rat items are so OP they make the rest of a run boring.

Just don’t pick the rat items up if they make the run boring.

My biggest issue with the rat is it prevents you having a fun early game due to not being able to spend money for floor 1, sewer, floor 2. Which is half of the run. Due to that you can be really underpowered and more easily lose the old crest. And 3rd floor it can cost you your flawless due to needing to save 2 blanks.

You can buy key’s though. I typically do the rat and I can usually get away with buying key’s. Even with the oubliette I can still usually get enough items I’m not underpowered.

I do not find the rat key un fun. Could it be cheaper yes 100 casings seem a bit more reasonable. Is it fine as is IMO it’s fine.

mimic tooth necklace is the opposite, its more fun via more items the entire run which means more chances for synergies, more cash to buy items, etc

Same for mimic tooth neckless + ring of mimic friendship.
You just don’t need to fight the pain in the ass Black and red chest mimics.

Plus Idk if this works but you could drop the ring in the room before the boss fight and scare the rat away and it might spawn in a mimic pedestal all the time. I’m not sure however.

However Fighting red and black mimics is less fun for me because it’s boring. They are bullet sponges that you just hide from.

And since your getting two items from a boss, theres a better chance you might get a A/S tier gun/item that further reduces the likelyhood of a high tier chest.

Mimic tooth necklace itself is A tier so its reducing the odds of high tier chests itself.

I understand how magnificence works.
But I have had a run where I saw 3 black chests and got all there items.
(Akey, Disintegrator and Clone. The game crashed after I got clone dou.)
So.... yeah i don’t typically count magnificence as a factor because your plans =/= RNG’s plans.

i do charmed runs constantly so i don't have a complainer gun. i main bullet, so any gun is better than fighting the gatling gull with 1/2 heart lost with only blasphemy

Alien Engine. Its only real use is to quickly get through the Dragun’s second phase. Otherwise it is a waste of space.

Add in heavy boots or the ring that makes you invincible and it has like the highest dps in the game... not really useless.

I have, I love it. Becoming invincible with a very short cooldown, even if you can't move while using it, is extremely useful against many bosses and quite usable during room clearing. At least if you remember to use it, which I always have trouble with.

Yeah I hate super hot watch myself. Makes my game feel like its in constant lag/stutters. Its one of the few items I refuse to pick up.
