He so rarely comes up in a run, even lesss so in a run where I've got flight/ring of triggers/etc
Turn on rainbow mode, quick restart until flight item appears, survive until you see Winchester. (Not as easy as it sounds since you are going to have limited equipment for a while.)
I am almost done myself and while most of the game is good, there are too many shop items. I had Lich killed far before I even bought half of them, and eventually I ran out of excuses to do runs other than to purely grind credits. (Then again I only had 22 deaths on me by the time I defeated the Lich. May be a different story for those who have played dozens of hours and still can’t consistently get past the first floor.)
Also, the hunting quests take ages. I am still on the Lead Maiden one, and literally the only other things left are Paradox and finding two companion shrines.
I hate grinding and wish the game had less of it. The challenge based unlocks only last for so long. Doing everyone’s past twice, killing the secret bosses, getting all Rat unlocks and beating the punchout game, the elevator quests, and the alternate game modes somehow aren’t enough to accumulate the thousands of credits that the shops require.
