Question about the paradox (spoilers)

So ive finaly unlock the paradox but i have a question...
If i play Rainbow mode as the paradox and defeat the lich. Does mode Still Count Towards unlocking Gun slinger?

Don't think it works as gunslinger, so probably doesn't work with paradox either.

Yes it works. I actually unlocked the gunslinger this way. After beating the lich, you'll still be in rainbow mode when you play through as the gunslinger, and if you beat his past you'll still unlock him.

ya i just tried it n it worked but i died though on floor 6 as gun slinger

Make sure not to take all the great loot as paradox, that leaves nothing in the item pool for your slinger.

When I did it I think I took makeshift cannon and ancient hero headband. Which is a 4 ammo makeshift cannon, basically enough to flawless any boss(s) and beat lich.

I made sure to leave my gunslinger clone by not picking it up. As well as left other nice stuff since I was already set.



If you do it like... Paradox, hit every floor and take clone, die on forge/bullet hell, then take a great item every floor again. Then beat lich and become gun slinger, your gonna get mostly trash and possibly lose yourself the slinger's run.

wait really? whatever shows up in rianbow shest can show up again? is there like a Set amount of items that will show up?

I've never seen items I've taken, such as clone showing up again post clone use. Specially not clone itself during rainbow runs.

The exception was Spice. Once I took and used spice from a rainbow chest, even during a rainbow run I could get it from room clear or see it in a shop.

Can Spice show up so freely if I took it as paradox once I'm gunslinger? I dunno. If gunslinger takes spice will he be at 1 spice use or the number of uses paradox had? I dunno.


Of course the shovel knight shovel can dig up dup items, but thats low tier bomb active items.

actually I just got clone first chest as gunslinger even though i already gotten it with the paradox so its safe to say that u can still get it and the chest is completly random

I've gotten clone twice in one run, the chests are random.
