Secret rooms (and how to find them)
So yeah, i cant. I mean, i found a few secret rooms here and there but simply by luck, like a barril exploding near by and opening them.
But i have no idea on how to detect them or which guns can open them.
For what i can see, they are not as common as in say, isaac, but i know they are there and i simply cant find them.

Any tips or hints? Please.

Also, i managed to put water on the fireplace, and the thing unlocked. When i entered the place under it, i pressed E and it made a sound but i didnt notice any change. What does that do?

Thanks :)

the only weapons that CAN'T reveal secret rooms are weapons with infinite ammo. So no starter weapons, no Gunther, and no Casey. After shooting the wall that is covering the secret entrance to the room, it will crack. A blank can be used to destroy the cracked wall and gain access.

The 'fireplace room" works differently. After pressing the button and hearing the sound, check the map. There should be a new room on there.

Whats a blank?

And is there a way to "detect" the rooms? like, knowing where to shoot to crack the wall?

A blank is the blue square in the top left corner of the screen, if you press the q key you use one, clearing the room of any bullets for a short period of time, and revealing secret rooms (if there is any in that room

There are many common spots for secret rooms, usually in NPC rooms or chests rooms however the secret room needs a space on the map to exist so if there are 2 rooms next to each other it cant be in between them and so on

Chest rooms, NPC rooms, the shop and the room after the boss are places most likely to have a hidden room

as a side note. secret rooms are often found next to chest rooms. try shooting all the walls surrounding the chests. I'd say that's where you can get the luckiest :summer2019tortoise:
