He explained this on his newest vid around 4:10ish mark and probably in other vids since we all know everyone loves to repeat themselves.
and if you want less guns, you unlock all chests you can and/or buy any gun you see in shop, or maybe throw/repick empty gun (for how many guns you have if you get away carrying an empty one, you would likely not need extra gun at that point)
Its advice from someone that I've heard plays his runs the same since base gungeon when ammo drops were very rare. Thus, more guns = win, as otherwise you'd risk running out of ammo in late game and dying because your start gun isn't good enough. (Which is no longer the case in most runs).
If you have awful guns it can be viable to do on a floor. But then again you might get a bad gun instead of the boss dropping a nice passive/active that could make all your guns better or somehow powers up your run.
Ideally you should see the two chests on the floor before deciding if you should gun force. If both chests are brown, yeah gun force is probably a good idea as your almost for sure getting a better weapon that way. You can also of course open both chests on a floor and not pick the gun up if you hate it/its trash for example winchester/dualing pistol/derringer/klob/punching glove/etc.
Ideally as well if your seeing the chests each floor first before the boss fight, you should have a gun capable of putting out fuse/fire so no chest explodes.
Also theres a very small number of items/synergies that can allow you to see inside a chest before opening it. I think only the exotic as well as a synergy of the siren water shotgun can do this?
Its also a good idea to explore the floor before the boss in case of mimic tooth necklace. Which will turn most boss fights into 2 rewards instead of just 1
Unless you wanna bad time, avoid that. Specially if your on keyboard.
If you practice the bosses with a pistol you should be able to easily flawless them with a pistol only.
Depends on the passive also depends on the playstyle.
this is far from true. Dem rogue special is kinda lame; sure if you can dodge for several minutes not very far from the boss (cause rs' shots don't fly far, so you have to stay slightly closer than usually) then you can beat him, but easily? constant dodging for that long is kinda exhausting unless you have godlike skills (in which case you probably unlocked gunslinger by this point)
other starters might be not that bad, but still they are no strong, and taking down boss with weaker weapon is always exhausting
Also ye rouge special sucks. But that’s 1/7 starting pistols.
Sure not how I enjoy playing the game. Glad thats behind me since I don't need the rat for anything anymore.
Examples being getting the Maletov launcher/Fossilized gun
And bullet king
I never said that you have to do gun forcing just that gun forcing mean you lose a master round.
