This is kind of a problem EtG has with some of the secret floors, the cost is prohibitively high to enter them on every run. Two keys for the oubliette, oftentimes a key for the old crest, 115 casings for the gnawed key and then two blanks to open the path, a master round and two items for R&G; it takes some of the fun out of playing when you have to save up each playthrough.
I would have really liked it if there were two options available for entering the secret rooms: all the current costs as a temporary path to open them once, and then a higher cost you could pay into over time to open them permanently. You already have to do something similar to this just to afford the gnawed key, as nobody has 999 casings on chamber two in a single run.
It's a shame development has ended for this game, as that's something I used to hope for being implemented.
Personally, I think even RNG is worth doing most runs. You'll nearly always have two items you don't like or want by floor 4. The only time RNG might be worth skipping is if you don't have any particularly good boos killing weapons.
