Microtransaction gun is garbage?

So the gun just kinda seems to blow through money, it doesn't seem exceptionally powerful either. Is there something I'm not understanding or is it just a bad item?

It's pretty terrible. Does random damage depending on item shot, and maxes at a 20 damage bullet. Definitely not worth it unless you ALSO happen to have the bombadier synergy for extra casings, or otherwise have a huge surplus of casings (which is pretty rare, I feel like).

You could shoot a chest a couple times with it for a chance to unlock it, but try not to accidently break it.

The gun is a joke item, poking fun at preorder bonuses and micro transactions, as by the name.

However, as with everything in this game, you can find a really neato synergy with it if you have the right item combos. Otherwise, it's probably the worst gun on its own.

Nah, it’s not the worst gun in the game. It’s still far more usable than stuff like unsyergized versions of Peashooter, Klobbe, Makarov, or Sawed-Off. Microtransaction Gun is even an actually decent Bullet Hell clear choice, since you don’t need money anymore at that point.

My salt is that it's 100 boss currency, or whatever the ♥♥♥♥ is called, and it's a troll item :(

What about the fatline? Chews through ammo has no synergy and does little damage.

Honestly, I think Fat Line is an okay gun. Yeah, it's not great. Yeah, I'd rather have almost any other B-tier gun. But the DPS is good enough to get by, and you can use it to shoot enemies from the other side of a wall. That's never a bad option to have in your pocket.

I'm definitely not a fan, but it's useful as "free" keys. I don't have too much experience with it in that regard, but I seem to recall it unlocking the chest about half the time before it started cracking.

Only really viable in bullet hell where there are no shops and money becomes worthless
