I don't personally have the game on Switch because I refuse to buy a switch, it is one of the worst things to exist ever, so I can't really say anything about that version, but if you managed to beat the game on PC then yea, doesn't surprise me you get to the fourth boss.
I'm joking please don't hurt me ;-;
In any case I would just assume you're better now. I mean I would like to think I could reach chamber 4's boss with the starter pistol. Could probably beat the boss too if it's not high priest.
Got the information from this article here on Kotaku: https://kotaku.com/enter-the-gungeon-is-more-forgiving-on-the-nintendo-swi-1821468408
Right now the decreased difficulty doesn't seem to be optional (and the article mentions nothing about it being so), but perhaps we'll get the option to keep the old difficulty when the full update ships. Remember, I believe that only the switch version got tweaked, and that the other versions will have to wait for the whole thing to come out, so there's almost certainly more to this.
Also, Why the switch hate from Katattak? Its an astounding device. I use mine everyday and its the only reason I can play gungeon again (as I have zero time to play on my desktop or consoles)
