Runs too samey and slow?
What is your opinion on this?

I have played this game for about 100 hours until now and have trouble continuing because of the above mentioned.
Passives rarely do much and you cannot afford to use most of the cool guns you find until level 4 because ammo management is a thing: thereby you deal with most of the earlygame with nothing but your startergun.
Very rarely do you get synergys that realy define a run: most often it is just about the guns

Which ties to the slowpace: atleast early on there is not that much going on yet it takes quite some time to clear the early floors which you should because they are relatively easy and give you recources.

Ofcource ETG is still a realy good game.

? You get more than like 3 nonstarter guns and you SHOULD be able to use only nonstarter guns for the rest of the game, assuming you aren't just spraying all your ammo away. I often do it with Curse runs where most of the enemies have triple health and I can still get away with using only nonstarters even by the start of the Gungeon Proper.

And even if you run out, there's generally ammo in the shop to buy if you can afford it.

Also, most of the passives are run changing items. Rolling Eye, any of the speed boosters, multiple Guon Stones, Backup Gun for anything that homes or bounces, gun boots for DPS, THE SUPERHOT WATCH, Etc. All of them should be changing how you fight enemies or otherwise play the game.

If you aren't, you're not adapting to what the run is giving you, and that's why the game seems to be the same every time. If you get rolling eye, you're suddenly looking for Springheel boots to promote super risky rolling. If you get the Superhot watch, you take your time ensuring maximum accuracy. Getting a lot of Guon Stones means you don't have to worry about cover so much given you now have a moving forcefield. Gun Boots mean you should be rolling far more often and should be rolling away from enemies if possible. Amulet of the Pit Lord (makes you immune to damage from falling into pits) means you can now emergency dive into bottomless pits for EZ invulnerability for a few seconds. The Table Tech items all let you use Tables for different things. Sight increases your DPS, so you use it at the start of a room to kill as many enemies as fast as possible. Blanks mean tables are used defensively, rocket for single target DPS, ETC.

I would not call most of these things as "run defining", just as gimmicky stuff.

Given that i win most of my runs i am not certain if i am realy failing to adapt. Strat:
-starter gun for lv1-4
-high DPS gun for bosses 3 and 4
-use all of the rest during lv5
-if i do realy well against bosses(bonus hearts) and find strong guns i attempt bullet hell

That example with the forcefield triggers me a bit to be honest. Yea it can stop bullets- but why should i rely on it if it has a chance to let bullets slep through if i could just play as usual and insted just see it as a passive protection that sometimes prevents damage when i make mistakes?

I didn't say to rely entirely on the guon stones. But more than like... 5 of them means pretty reliable protection. Having multiple stones means you don't have to rely on cover as often as normal. Having a LOT of stones means a rather solid defense that might let a few shots through once in awhile. Some runs I can get more than 10 if I'm willing to buy them.

And again, you're using the starter gun for FAR too long. You don't need to conserve that much ammo assuming you're hitting your shots. Again, I'm regularly clearing EVERY floor, including Bullet Hell, on Curse runs where many enemies have triple health, and yet am not having trouble with ammo. Are you opening all the chests? Going to all the floors? You should have upwards of 10 guns by the time you get to Bullet Hell.

Yeah I really don’t get why you are hoarding guns and using your starter for so long. I almost never have to use my starter on Oubliette. I literally never have to use it on floor 2 or higher.

Also, while it’s true that things like Gunboots and Rolling Eye are gimmicky, they can still provide a LOT of extra damage if you learn to actually use them when you have them. Especially if you are feeling bored with the game, just go ham and try different stuff out. Even if you die instead of winning the run, the process of experimenting is fun.

Beating the Dragun isn't winning. You should be beating the Dragun almost every time once you're not a new player (assuming no challenge mode, curse run, etc that makes the game harder OR Rat run). Beating the Dragun is like beating Mom in The Binding of Isaac. It's not even halfway through the game. If you were saying you were beating the RAT every run, I could describe that as winning.

Given that you appear to be running out of ammo, it seems as though you don't go to every floor, and you spray your bullets everywhere. Because again, enemies have triple health, I'm killing everything... and I still don't need to use my starter past the Oubliette. Ever.

And you should be getting to the point where you're getting 3 or 4 master rounds every run.

Dude...there is so much crazy ♥♥♥♥ you can do in this game. Take a look at this just to give you an idea:

Then think about how different Bullet modifiers will work with a lot of them.
