Is it possible to transfer save files from cracked GOG version to purchased steam version?

The GOG version is DRM free to begin with so it never needed to be cracked. By asking for info about a pirated / cracked version from GOG you're making it clear how you got it in the first place

But the fact they've now bought it surely mitigates that.

I'm sure most PC gamers have pirated at least one game at some point.

Your saves are stored in a persistent data location, NOT inside of the game's install directory. On Windows, this is C:\Users\<username>\AppData\LocalLow\Dodge Roll\Enter the Gungeon. This means your saves *should* immediately work, though I'm not 100% certain how this will interact with Steam Cloud sync the first time you launch the game. If you'd like to make a backup to be safe, just copy all of the files in that directory.

We don't condone piracy (obviously), but I'm glad to hear you've decided to support the game!

Soon as I saw the title to this post I knew some a-hole would ride in here on his high-horse with a lecture. The guy bought the game in the end so this was totally unecessary.

Jesus ♥♥♥♥ I was just saying that the GOG version is DRM free to begin with and that they could have asked the question without revealing that they had pirated the game. It's not a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lecture on the ethics of piracy

Do we really know whether this guy has purchased it or not? He might just be asking us how to transfer his save file of an cracked version to a cracked version of the lastest patch or latest beta. Never trust pirates, never help them.

They didn't even need to open your profile as it states you own the game right next to your user name. Note: seems they don't own the game.

That's not how that works. If the save file isn't located inside the game folder, when you unistall the old one and download the new one it will automatically check for any save files. Not to mention how its easier with gog games since it asks if you want to keep your save files as you unistall the old version.

Uh.... O-or so Im told.
