I've never noticed the walls being greyed before, and I notice things like that. It's probably a new and extremely welcome change. Some way to find secret rooms without shooting every wall was needed.
In binding of isaac, both secret rooms per floor exist in logical places, so you can take educated guesses about where they are.
In enter the gungeon, I've found a secret room on the edge of the gun minigame, with the a long secret tunnel to the room beyond another room, nobody would have ever guessed where that was (I had the brick guy passive).
To a degree i did not mind secret rooms as more often than not they were near item rooms or shops or even at the last room where i took the chamber to advance to the next floor, and if i wouldn't find them there, i would use a blank on a room that could have enough space outside of it to hold a secret room, it surprisingly worked pretty often.
What i did mind is that secret room sometimes don't spawn at all on floors, and where i had means to spend some time looking for one, i would just shoot everything like a maniac and waste like 15 minute to find nothing.
Now at the very least with a secret room on a floor or not, i can now see them properly and not waste my time finding one.
And now they are more useful than before, because more often than not they spawn chests, and if i can't open them, i can get the junk from them to upgrade my fellow junk follower.
The chat might've known from predictions or from wall cracks that otherwise the streamer wouldn't see, its hard to focus on the game and talk at the same time. I'm almost sure that the walls were never this obvious.
I know from past threads that the walls never had a visual cue in order to spot them besides the cracks.
