The Altar Room on Gungeon Proper

Very minor spoilers ahead.

I keep returning to this thought over and over. Why does the Altar Room spawn on Gungeon Proper regardless of whether you went to the Oubliette or not? My point of reference here are the rooms with the parts for the Bullet That Can Kill the Past. They no longer spawn once you bring the component to the Smith as there is no use for them.

There is no use for the Altar Room if you skipped the Oubliette, and yet it spawns every time. Like a clunky vestige. I suggest, for consistency's sake, to code it to not show up if the Oubliette wasn't accessed on the current run for those who've used it at least once prior. That would be in line with the water barrel in the Fireplace Room, too.

Thoughts?

Is there much point? It doesn't take up the slot of a special room on that floor, and the floor size isn't pusing the limits of the game, the secret room won't spawn off the side of it. The game won't change much if you remove it, other than the layout of the floor potentially changing.

I don't think it matters enough to remove it.

Yes, these are all good reasons to do nothing, and I do account for them. I will reiterate though that my main beef with the room is its complete uselessness (as in: it is impossible to use it) if you didn't go to the Oubliette. It's weird to have a room that does nothing.

Well, there is a use. For new players, puzzling out what the crest is for requires some clues. I only got it a fair bit after having seen both independently.

That's why I suggested coding it to no spawn for those aware of its purpose.
