How do you beat this game?
Is it even possible to beat this game or is it something along the lines of going as far as you can before you die?

i beat it, well act 1 anyways I still need to do the pasts and then a secret thing.

It's hard af and I just beat it yesterday but 220 deaths later I got it.

just take it slow, you're not racing anyone those early hits can screw up your late game potentially.

I beat it using the grappling hook exploit before it got patched, I am not a proud man. Basically back then when you had a grappling hook, if you switched items, not guns, but items mid-flight, you become invulnerable.

I did beat the game legitimately but yeah that was the FIRST time I beat the game.

U can beat it, yes. And its pretty easy once u get enough hours in that u dodge stuff like ur a Matrix master all the freakin time. Even the the "toughest" level.

Lots of patience, I'm not very skilled but now I can consistently reach the dragun if I get decent stuff, I've beat the four pasts, unlocked the bullet and the robot and I think I'm done, the lich is too much for me, but I'm very satisfied with this game!

lol, I can barely get past the first dungeon area as of now.

It starts with 'going as far' but at some point muscle memory will kick in. Getting used to dodgerolls is quite edgy and items wont cary as in, say, Nuclear Throne so beating game before you get good hold on jumping through bullets is unlikely.

Furthest I gotten was dungeon 3 Oo!! But that because I was still searching for guns and other items to read upon to future build a good player with items/gun combo

Beat the Dragun a week ago.
Took me 57 Hours.
Now the next things i'll try is to get the last Ingredient to the Smith (Prime Prima, everything else is already there) and get the 2 Extra characters.
This will keep me busy the next 50 Hours or so.

So, keep it up, you'll see the end, but it'll take time. ;)

I can finally get to the second dungeon boss with some regularity.

Yes the game is beatable and it has a proper ending and a final boss.. i learned that the hard way. I got the lead god achievement in the same run that the boss on act 6 managed to end me severely and unexpectedly. I REALLY hope there isn't a master round or achievement for flawlessing him because my monitor will not survive through it.

You will have a significantly easier time once you learn the pattern of each boss and know how to handle them.

There is no achievement or unlocks for perfecting the floor 6 boss. You simply need to beat floor 6.

Also I'm mad because Wallmonger was at under 10% hp and I got hit. RIP Master Round 4.

I had a very good chance to get the lead god in the past, but i decided to be macho and dodge the dragon's RPG instead of using one of my 5 blanks, and i got hit afterwards....

I've managed to flawless 3 bosses in one run that i never actually got to flawless them perviously, which was the ammoconda, high priest and the dragon. The bloodied scarf that i got after the ammoconda was the main reason i managed to not get hit at all throughout the next floors and bosses, up until act 6 were i got decimated with all my full 7 hearts and armor.

I even gave the shortcut guy one of my master rounds on act 3, which apparently you only need to beat the bosses flawlessly for the lead god, regardless if you have all the master rounds at the end or not.
It is possible. In fact, I just beat the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Lich today. Finally. After +250 hours. All praise the mighty Ring of Ethereal Form.

I just beat the Amoconda and the skull boss on my first tries against both of them. I even flawlessed the first dungeon. Easily my best run so far.

On a side note, I'm suprised they didn't name the Agonizer enemies Agunizers instead.

It makes Lead god viable in boss rush mode too, since you get Win screen right after killing dragun.
