Gunther?

I have played 380 hours of etg, even beating the 5th chamber boss now and then ;), and have not yet encountered this mystical "gunther". In fact, the first time i heard of this was on discussions. So does anyone have a description of it? Also let me know if there is any special way to unlock it if needed. While your at it, tell me your favourite settup (passive items, guns, active items), i realy enjoy seeing the different favorite guns that people have.

I just unlocked it by killing the past of my 3rd character, the Convict.

I'm not sure exactly what the unlock requirements are, but you can always look at the wiki if you want to know for sure.

Gunther is unlocked by killing the Dragun during a blessed run.

thanks for the info, this explains why i have not seen it yet. what does the thiing do? people say that it is an assured win.

At first it's sort of like a starter pistol with a larger magazine, but as you clear rooms with it the fire rate and reload speed improve as well as the damage. It has three phases and the third phase is what makes it an practical guranteed win. Fires as fast as you can pull the trigger, reloads pretty quickly, bullets are strong, home on enemies, the magazine is reasonably large, and the ammo is infinite.

It's one of those things that doens't sound as exciting when described but in practice those small little things it's really good at add up to one of the best weapons in the game.

The fact it's infinite is the main advantage. It doesn't do massive amounts of damage compared to other S tier guns, but you don't have to hold back and conserve ammo like you'd normally have to.

Gunther is stupid OP. I was busting my ass trying to skill my way to the Lead God achievement over and over, but then one run Gunther dropped and I got carried so hard to an easy win.
