Few things about the new Loot Bag item

I just had a run with the Loot Bag for the first time and ran into a few things. If you get hit by a boss just before it dies, you can't pick up the money that spilled out, since you're stuck watching the boss' death animation. I lost around 100 casings to this and let's just say it didn't feel very fair. I suggest halting the timer on the casings disappearing while the boss death animation plays, so you can try to get them back as you would in any other situation.

Secondly, it never occured to me during the run, but what happens if you temporarily drop the loot bag? If there is no penalty involved for temporarily dropping it, it might be optimal to drop the bag right after the boss fight starts and pick it up once it's over.

Overall the item felt pretty fun, the whole mechanic of having to pick up your casings back after getting hit is interesting. But honestly after a bad fight with the high priest and losing half of my casings I'm not too sure if the risks are worth it. Does anyone know just how much more money you get with it?
