Not helping in the past
If you go to kill your past but choose the choice that doesn’t initiate the boss battle for example jumping away in the pilots past what happens?

I think at one past i accidently did this and it just ended and said that i did not kill the past and need to do it again to kill it.
But its a long time since i killed all the pasts so i don't know which past it was AND if it is possible at every past to do the "wrong" thing.

The convict gives you no choice as the choices are the same

The pilot says something about not leaving his partner again

Similar things happen with the hunter, robot, and bullet

So it's possible that if you go the wrong way with the marine, you could fail, but it would be the only outlier.
