I haven't unlocked the Robot yet.
Pilot-maybe I'm just lucky but the lock pick works more often then not for me. The lack of needing keys makes the pilot snowball out of control pretty quickly for me.
Hunter-additional drops help and the crossbow is super helpful on the first couple floors as a throw away gun.
Marine-just really decent with an armor crutch and ammo crutch right off the bat.
Robot-insane starter weapon, and inherent electric water makes certain combos absurdly powerful. Unfortunately half the drops you will get for him will be health containers.
Convict-♥♥♥♥ the convict. Sawed off is worse than your starter pistol. Her starter pistol is tedious to use due to having to reload it every .5 seconds. Her passive requires you to take damage in a game where health is a rare commodity therefor you never want to get hit. Molotov is fine I guess.
Number two: Bullet.
Number three: Bullet
Number four: Bullet.
Number five: Bullet.
Number six... okay u get what i mean. this dude rocks
2. Pilot: lockpicks itemize him often to an insane degree. Shop discount and smuggling case are also good. Nothing is garbage about this character except junky starter gun, but you replace it so fast that it doesn't matter.
3. Hunter: Free crossbow starter so you don't have to face the first bosses naked. Doggy is also good the whole way.
4. Marine: Good pistol and free ammo and armor. What's not to like? My personal favorite, not OP, and ammo drop lets me use the gun I want for longer.
5. Convict: Junky character. The photo is fairly useless. The sawed-off makes me sad 'cuz it's so bad that using the revolver is almost always better. The molotov is the only good thing about her, but it's really not something that stands out since its long cooldown really only makes it good for adding a little extra damage to the boss.
6. Robot: Having only armor makes robot bad. The end.
Can you use the drill item on it then?
If not, you should be able to.
You know that the convict has the best starting weapon (after robot(bullet doesn't count)), so she tecnically is the more offensive character...why all people don't try to test hers starter gun? the name doesn't say anything
2.Robot: Great starting weapon, higher accuracy, the armor only meta is very refreshing aswell as the damage bonus for junk. Battery bullets can make some cool synergies happen too.
3.Marine: Not really exceptionally great but he's solid. The ammo drop can help in a pinch. The faster reload times and faster weapon charging are straight up dps increases and higher accuracy is also great.
4.Convict: I don't like the sawed off because I'm not good at fighting close-range and damage buff on hit is basically worthless because I prefer not to get hit. Molotov is okay.
5.Bullet: He's cute and all but his meta is boring. He's way too OP to enjoy imo.
6.Pilot: Terrible starting weapon, I don't really care about lower shop prices and I almost always have enough keys for opening all the chests anyway. He can be useful for doing some quests but I would never play as him if I had the choice.
Yeah, I know it's the best starter weapon besides robot and bullet. But I think having a good starter doesn't put her above marine's comparable sidearm and his ammo drop, so the ranking remains.
Budget revolver does fire faster when you click each shot, so oh well. Marine's sidearm you can just the button down to get max fire rate; same with every other character besides Bullet actually.
Bullet. Live ammo and Blasphemy are strong on their own, but he starts with both. GG no Re.
Hunter. Best early game. Period. Also comes with a free mimic detection kit.
Pilot. Easy hoards loads of items, but extremly dependent on RNG. It is hard when you only get bad weapons or those you are not used to.
Marine. Good passive, but doesnt offer much else. Pretty safe to play tho.
Convict. Yes, the Sawed-off sucks. But at least you have the option to... "correct" your mistakes, if one happens. Molotov is not bad.
Robot. Biggest glass cannon in the game, get the Mega Douser and you get to the Forge ez. However, a lot of good items are useless or not as useful for him, since he has no health.
CONVICT- yes the sawed off is bad, but an medium range it packs an decent punch, and i use the sawed off to clear floor 1 and 2 and it works surprising well for an bad shotgun. , the enraging photo is EH, the real value is the molitov, abelit it does not work against bullet king or the gorgun, it is VERY usfull for both room clearing and boss dmg alike. the budget revolver has an quicker reload time than other starting guns (1 second as opposed to 1.5 for the rest of starting weapons) and shoots very fast.
MARINE-the armor and ammo drop are nice but just dont help in the long run, the only thing good about the marine is the better acuracy and reload speed
HUNTER-the crossbow is decent for floor 1&2 but after that it becomes usless, the extra 5% chance for something on room clear is nice but again its only going to give you 1-3 extra consumables per hell-run
