Tips for Beginners?

Been playing the game for 6 hours now and I'm only now getting good at killing the first bosses.
I just want to know if anyone has any tips.
Also, a little more specifically, should I befriend the mimics or try to get the junk friend?

As for my playstyle, I like to play as the hunter cause the crossbow is strong and accurate and I have a little doggo to help me along the way.

"only now" is average speed.

And if you mean should you get the ring of mimic friendship, usually the answer is no. If you can spot a mimic you can attack it and save a key while getting the item. And junkan is usually not worth trying to get intentionally.

Oh awesome, then I don't suck :D also, how is Junkan not worth getting? He seems strong and useful :T

Save your keys for good chests , dont waste money , don't forget to use hegemoney credits to purchase new guns and practice as much as you can without getting hit . Also save ammo for later floors and use your unlimited gun as much as you can

Sir junkan can actually cause trouble cause you will have to shoot chests to open it , and getting it to all powerful level is also a pain

Pretty much no-brainers here. But the last point is notable, you'll need to use your basic gun for room clearing most of the time until you get uncomfortable with it. Otherwise you'll be stuck with no good guns to kill the really hard guys.

If you do end up finding junkan while casually breaking chests you can't/don't want to open, try and get him up to level 6. It can be a run changer.

don't pick up a key off the floor until you've found the shopkeeper.

dodge roll can get you in more trouble than simply moving out of the way manually.

save your keys for green and up chests.

sir junkan is handy if you know what you're doing. if you want to get the unlock then just get him to knight, which is 3 junk, and defeat a boss. he's probably more worth going for if you get the standard with some pets.

play a lot. there a lot of enemies and bosses and it'll take awhile before you get used to their pattern. once you do it's pretty easy to get to the final floor consistently.

also i'd recommend the marine because you can use his pistol for a good while.

if you don't pick up a gun from anywhere on the map, then that means the boss will always drop a gun.

probably more i'm forgetting. haven't played in awhile.

All of these.

Only other major thing the game won't tell you is the 2 chests on a floor are always an item and a gun. Use this to help decide whether or not to open that chest.

He has 20% chance to replace regular junk before you unlock him and 5 afterwards

If you find shop when you don't pick up any key in that floor, Shop keeper always sell key. So if there is key drop during field battle. Just leave and pick up key after finding shop. you can get chance to achieving more keys.
