Can I Change controls in game pad??

Hello guys!

I wanna know if I can switch the triggers between "fire" and "use item". I don't feel comfortable with the custom buttons :(

Of course! Open the options menu, go to Controls, and scroll down to the Control Bindings heading for the appropriate player.

I changed the controls for when I am using my controller but they haven't changed. Every button still has the standard function but when I go into the settings it does display my new controls.

Nevermind it is just the jump with the bottom button (x on playstation) still jumps even after saying that it is interact. When I stand in front of a door it jumps instead of interacting with it.

Edit: The problem is all standard controls overrule custom controls. If I add a new function to an unused button it works but if I change the function of for example the fire button and give another button the fire function it will still fire when I press r1.

Hi guys i have a very similar probem too,ive just purchased this recent sale and i dont want to go over the two hours,basically my top right button doesnt work on my controller that seems to be the Fire button too,Can and how do i change it please to anything other than what it is right now?thankyou...
