Is it possible to freeze a boss?

If you fire ice weapons at most bosess fast enough they visibly slow down and fire slighlty faster,what if you had double vision.increased attack speed and YV blessing to spam an ice weapon onto a boss?

Bosses cannot be fully frozen, and can only be chilled to slow down their movements and attacks. Additionally, this chill effect can only last for a limited time during the boss fight. At some point, cold effects will stop working on bosses. This is intentional, so as to not allow for a boss fight to be beaten trivially with a cold-based weapon. Like it or hate it.

I was wondering what was up when the snake stopped getting frozen part way through the fight. Good to know.
