You use a bloody key on it?
Don't know what you mean with "offering brazier", I assume you are speaking of either a sacrifice statue or the altar at the end of the room with bullet tombs.
For the bullet tomb room you need a special item from a secret floor.
For the statue you need to sacrifice a gun to it, so gotta first swap to the gun you want to sacrifice.
If I didn't get any of it right, please clarify your question.
Also, i found some brazier with a sign that did read blabla "offering..." and then i got the character talk menu but the only option i could chose was "walk away". I didnt see an option to bin a gun of mine.
Does that help with you answering my question ?
you can open it with a key.
The braszier is either the enter to the Abbey of the true gun :

or it was a shrine:

A red chest should open up by simply having a key, though if you were unable to, my only guess would be that you broke the lock by using the pilot's lockpick and failing to open it that way.
That, or you had 0 keys.
As for the brazier thing, if it was a statue, then you needed to select a gun to sacrifice first by equipping it, then activating the statue and an option to sacrifice a gun (probably for health) appears.
If it wasn't a statue, it was the entrance to the 2nd secret level, which requires you to bring a special armor piece from 1st secret level.
If the "brazier" wasn't either of those, then it must be some sort of a super secret room that I haven't bumped into.
Forgot about that one, probably makes sense as well.
D20 statue and the ammo one don't require sacrifices, while the one that grants you attack, you sacrifice health to.
So I suppose the only statue options are the blank or gun sacrifice.
