That's an understatement. Armor of Thorns increases the dodge roll damage by "1,500%" .. Which effectively makes a normal dodge roll deal 48 damage instead of 3 damage (x16). But, with the bullet who has 15 base damage you get a 240 damage dodge roll .. You can kill literally most if not all non-boss enemies by just dodge rolling into them. Seems legit.
By the way, the title is a spoiler and someone's gonna get salty over this post. I agree with your post 100% by the way, though I often use Robot as well because I love his starting items including his starter weapon.
I don't really want Blasphemy to be nerfed though, but I hope they add more interesting characters in future DLC though .. The selection is so small at the moment that there is literally no reason to pick anything but the Bullet except for variety's sake. For me that's mostly Robot, and sometimes the Hunter.
I think one way to make Blasphemy more balanced would be to change the core mechanics of the weapon. Maybe it could be a bit like Gunther where clearing rooms (or perhaps killing enemies) with it causes it to level up, eventually having the projectile shot while still keeping the condition of you being full health. On it's base form it'd be nothing more than a fancy sword .. This would mean that you would HAVE to use the Sword early game because then the enemies are still relatively easy, but you'd still have to be careful about it.
Also in the wrong hands he's not great at all. I'd argue he's only really good if you can maintain full health
I did find a casey for the first time the other day and continued to finish 90% of the rest of the rooms with it too. THAT is a fun weapon.
