Gatling Gull: Is he too hard for chamber one?
IDK about you guys but i can never ace the gatling gull in chamber one. I've yet to beat the dragun but i've encountered him (and died). I mean i can consistently ace the 2 other chamber 1 bosses (twins & lead lord) but I just cant ace the gatling gull. I can dodge his normal barrage pretty well but i cant circle strafe because when he wheels around to face me his gun's spread fills the gaps to dodge to. This really knocks the wind out of my runs, seeing as I've gotten c2 and c3 aced but no c1 trophy/heart container. thoughts?

Gattling Gull is generally easy for the adept player, you need to pay more attention to his movement patterns.

Its not his movement he just walks towards me and jumps from time to time. My issue is when i circle strafe and he turns to continue firing at me, which for whatever reason, I am unable to avoid. I mean yea i try to keep him facing me for the entirety of his burst, but i just run out of arena to strafe to without making him turn :P

You should use/save blanks then.

the only time he gives me problems, is when i get those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ rooms with bushes everywhere and barrels in the corners. and even worse, the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ room there theres valleys on each side

You mean the moats? They help a lot to keep the necessary distance to just strafe around all the shots. They make it a lot easier for me to flawless the flipping bird.
The library is best, though.

Truth is, I enjoy the cver provided by the library arena. once the bushes are gone in the bush arena, you're out in the open, so you'll have to juggle reloading and managing your weps all the while dodging the GG's fire and that usually kills my ace

Yeah the big hall and the garden are probably the most annoying places to fight that manbird.
You're pretty screwed if the room is bad. If you get one with pillars, however, it's super easy.

*sigh* The search bar does exist, it is a thing.

On topic though: No, he's fine. It's usually common to find that people have one boss on each floor they're not good with. For me it was the Trigger Twins, it was hard for me to handle bullets from two directions at once, but for others it was the Throne and for you, it's the Gull.

It's not that Gatling Gull is "hard" it's that his firing patern is too ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ random.

The fact that when he switches direction his gun continues to fire he can basically prevent you from dodging his bullet without the use of a blank.

I have yet to fight a boss who can successfully ♥♥♥♥ me over as consistently as him.

Even mine flayer retains a dodgeable pattern, Gull is just too randomized due to his ability to turn while firing.

The perfect balance for this of course would be to lock his position while he's firing which would allow players to utilize movement to get around him and disrupt his spray pattern.

This game is hard but there is always a defined path which you can use to dodge bullet patterns, Gull does not have this.

His boss fight is reliant upon the RNG that there are solid walls in the room to hide behind while his random spray is occuring because since he advances upon you while firing at it you are forced to rotate which in turn further randomizes his firing pattern and can often lead to a snap shot that is undodgeable and will always hit you after he rotates to follow you.

If you don't have a wall to dodge this spray pattern you're left with hoping you can out-dps his fight which is just plain ♥♥♥♥♥♥ mechanics.

Gatling Gull is surprisingly hard when all you have is your starter pistol, especially if the room layout is unfavorable.

However, I still think he is very suitable for chamber 1. This boss is all about misdirecting and keeping your distance.
Definitely not, just gotta learn how to fight him. Youtube is your friend if you need help go watch someone ace him.

Easy if you get a decent room.. otherwise not so much. Only managed to get flawless on him once but dont have many hours played yet. I generally just roll around until he stops spraying his gun seems to work to not get hit.. not the most optimal but you get alot of free damage on his rocket shooting phase. Easy to hit him if hes standing still.
