Focus on the areas between the bullets, not the bullets themselves.
Edit: Tip I forgot; The shop on every floor will always have a key, as long as you haven't already picked up a key on that floor. So if you don't pick up a key until you find the shop, you can guarantee yourself 2.
This allows you to easily manuver around bullet clusters, that is once you get use to specific enemy patterns lol.
Good luck :)
Aight man thanks i'll try that when i get home
Thx :)
Don't dodge roll if you don't need to because then you could dodge right into another bullet, strafe, and if you can't strafe, then dodge roll.
Shoot a chest before opening it.
Tables are a waste of time and space! Don't flip!
Use your starter to kill weak enemies, such as bullet kin.
Try to defeat the boss without getting hit, because then you will get an HP up.
Conserve keys. You can do this by avoiding to open brown chests and sometimes blue chests.
Don't open a chest in a chest room until you have seen both of the chest rooms on the floor. One of the chests will contain a gun, the other will contain a passive.
If you don't pick up a gun on the current floor, the boss will be guaranteed to drop one.
Don't pick up keys on the ground until you have visited the shop, because if you do, the shop won't be guaranteed to sell one.
Target selection is an important one. Attack enemies that are more dangerous than the others, like Blue Shotgun Kin over Red Shotgun Kin. Blue is much more dangerous than red.
Chest tiers go like this from worst to best: Brown<Blue<Green<Red<Black
There are also two secret chest tiers as well.
The formula for item drops is 1%+(coolness-curse)+(9% x RoomsCleared)
This formula resets the RoomsCleared variable to 0 once you get an item drop.
Those are some basic tips, good luck!
Well, table flipping is actually an art. When you flip one, the entire area around it completely erases bullets, including ones that come from behind (and that means no damage to the table or splitting shots firing flak everywhere), as well as a nice dodging technique being a dodge roll followed by a table flip, since the table flip will cover the period in which you'd be vulnerable otherwise.
But yeah, don't just flip tables for the hell of it. Unless you get items which allow for buffs at table flipping (called Table Techs), they're best used as another dodge mechanic.
Yeah, that's one. There are other effects you get depending of which items you have for it, if you find more than one they'll stack and that makes tables really powerful.
The time slow one doesn't just slow time down, it also gives you triple shot with all weapons which is really, really good.
false: a boss is only guarenteed to drop a gun if you beat it while having no weapons except for your startup pistol.
Par example: Say you find a glitched chest and beat the boss while you only had your 1st pistol (which is REALLY difficult btw), he will drop 7 guns instead of 7 random items.
2. Push Q.
As stupid and "git gud" like these comments sound they're honestly true. Other than Blanks and Dodge Rolling the game plays like any Bullet Hell/Roguelike.
Another good rule of thumb is to check out what items do in the Gunomicon before fooling around with it. Sometimes it'll just give you a random lore tidbit but very often it'll tell you something important about the gun. Such as the Luxor Cannon's "High attack speed with a big finish" which really isn't that obvious.
