What's your most favorite gungeoneer and why?

I enjoy playing as the hunter because her crossbow is easy for crowd control and tough enemies and also because her dog can dig up useful items and even sic out mimics.

started playing again because supply drop, it's a tough pick between marine and hunter

marine has the better infinite ammo pistol and has better accuracy for every gun (free ammo is nice too but you'll probably ditch it by floor 2 if you haven't used it already) but hunter has the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crossbow and the dog is pretty useful so yeah

the bullet is probably the best unlockable but I have yet to get it so yeah

One of the secret characters The Bullet because of the newly added past. If you grew up on the SNES and love a specific game The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past then you'll probably love it and it's incredible with how much love to detail they put this past together <3

I actually think the Hunter is my least favorite. I only find the Crossbow particularly useful on the first 2 levels because of its low damage output for a one-per-reload weapon. If I see the sewer guy, I immediately end up selling it since her starter isn't much of a downgrade from it. I never see the dog in action all that much to justify it either.

My favorite is probably the Convict, since her starter pistol is far and away the best of all the characters (pairing it with Ice Breaker got me to floor 5 easy.) The rage ability is also super good for boss fights.

Convict because she is basically an aggressive-rush down character.
And ive been playing Bullet since I unlocked him, and I find him really cool aswell.

Plus, I get Nam flashbacks to Blue Baby in Flash Binding of Isaac when I pick him up...

I like the hunter for the crossbow on early levels, but it does lose its usefulness quickly as you go up floors. I like the pilot for the shop prices, and just the fact that he's basically a knockoff han solo, so the cool factor.

At first I loved the Robot, but after seeing all the hearts and healing items go to complete waste on him I started leaning more towards the marine.
Really freaking love the Robot's starter gun, though.

Either marine or bullet. Marine is the first character that I beat his past with. Marine has a pretty good starter weapon and his extra reload and accuracy is really good. But the bullet I love for his weapon and roll. Plus no contact dmg

Played briefly but so far pilot or marine. Can see convict being good if you're good at the game..

Hunter meh.. don't like the crossbow.

I like marine because of his past. It's awesome and it's challenging. And his pistol isn't pilot's and is actually a pretty okay weapon.

A secret character is a close second because of their past.

Excuse me? The Budget Revolver - Starting weapon of the Convict, is probably the 2nd worst starting weapon in the game, only beating the laser pistol or whatever it is. VERY low ammo, VERY low accuracy, okay damage.

You're entitled to your own opinion but what you stated is simply false. By the way, the best starter pistol (in my opinion - not sure about facts), is the starter gun of the Robot. It has a massive clip, great accuracy, and okay damage.

If you only go by the numbers then the Budget Revolver (Convict) has the highest damage of the starting "pistols" (equal with the Rusty Sidearm from the Hunter) but it has also the highest fire rate and shortest reload time - so the possible DPS could be higher compared to the other characters.

So if you can manage to get into "close combat" with the Convict than the Budget Revolver deals some nice damage.

Edit: Ok, the Robot's Right Hand has the highest DPS but given it's a character that doesn't benefit from any heart drops you need a good start.

Honestly for new starting people i gotta say that the Pilot can be an excellet pick, he can hold more items and have a chance to open a chest without a key(which helps them to learn key management)
For experienced players honestly it is what they feel most comfortable with, i love the Pilot cause he can help get those elevator unlocks easier when they take so many keys.
