Plenty of video and screenshots for anyone that is thinking about buying to know what they are getting.
The show is a console game.. otherwise if it was made for pc.. i'd do it. I didn't spend 4k building a computer for graphics taking me back 20yrs.
Wouldn't really care if they removed the graphics altogether.
I feel the same about FM. Would prefer the dots back. Let my imagination do the work. Rather than waste thousands of hours trying to code every weird pose or situation in 3D like SI are doing right now in their new engine. Complete waste of time AFAIC
They've been trying to port the game to unity engine for 3 years and still had to completely scrap fm25 and it's been radio silence from Si since the cancellation.
Ootp devs handle their business very much like Si when it comes to communication very different then a normal game company.
The big difference is I don't think the ootp devs ever want to drastically increase sales or go main stream like Si wants with football manager.
So don't have expect a GUI or top graphics from OOTP it's not even on current Indy game level.
SI spent ages trying to get the graphics to represent players better in terms of each skill and how it impacted the flow of a game. Seeing your wide midfielder who is supped to run with the ball always being too slow to reach 50/50 balls. The stats would lead you to think it was speed, but watching the game it turned out it was because you were playing him too far back and the centre back was poor at through balls.
That could be done with baseball, but it would be quite a different proposition. It's stop-start platy by play. I do watch from time to time, sometimes for a whole post season which might be 20+ games if my team had to win the wildcard first.
I still suspect the answers would be better discovered in the stats after say 300 plate appearances at whatever level it was.
AND you can have both -- that would be the crown jewel, the way EWBB and Front Page Sports were in their heyday. Great engine AND great graphics.
High Heat did it for a bit... and then when OOTP first came out, it was all-stats... but they have opted to add in the graphics, so if they do, they CAN and SHOULD do it well.
Your comment regarding "MLB The Show" is not relevant. Had he asked for an arcade twitch game, then sure -- that's the right comparison, but asking for better graphics (and I've not tried the 26 version yet, just came to check it out) on top of the stat engine is a fair request wanted by many and is not worthy of your troll-like response.
Valid feedback to the developers for a feature they have implemented is always good -- never bad.
