ACTIVATION CODE... HEEELP

I just got assassins creed rogue and i need an activation code to start the game and well... I havent gotten one yet... What do I do???

When you launch the game, you should get a pop-up that tells your cd-key to you ... shall this pop-up is missed, you can simply click "cd-key" to view the code.

Seriously? Ubisoft still thinks that Activation Codes are a good idea this day and age? What are they, stupid? Anyone who's going to play an illegal copy won't have to fool with this nonsense, all those idiots are doing is inconveniencing their paying customers.

This is the sort of thing that only sort of made sense when combating used games, which isn't even an issue that applies to digitially distributed copies.

The thing is medavroog when I launched the game that screen never popped up... but the "cd-key" isn't on the uplay screen. If that makes any sense

This is just one big over procaution taken to an extreme measure... a very extreme measure.

I understand what you refer as I did presume you encountered this problem. One of the statement in my original post is addressed to your issue, I apologise for not making it more clear for you ...

... in your Steam Library, select Assassin's Creed Rogue, on the right-hand side listings you should find CD-Key under the selection for DLC ... click the selection for CD-Key and copy it in to Uplay's activation box.

Just because it's easier to play a pirated version doesn't give you any grounds to be upset with Ubisoft. They're only taking the necessary steps to protect their software while still providing it on Steam. It's hardly an inconvenience anyways, you enter the key once and it's on your account forever.

That's old, it hasn't appeared under DLC in a while. Just go into your Steam Library, and click on the game without launching it. On the right-hand side, you will see LINKS. Under that, there are various options for that game; Community Hub, Discussions, News, etc. One of them is CD Key. Click on that to get the pop-up. Copy it into Uplay.

When it launches, it's meant to Open Uplay and auto activate. Remember you need Uplay Guys.

Hello there mate, i solved my problem, just untick all the dlcs at the library page, the game will function normally and wont ask for the CD-key. And all the DLCs you bought will work normally, dont really know the reason why this works, but it does lol
