This is the sort of thing that only sort of made sense when combating used games, which isn't even an issue that applies to digitially distributed copies.
This is just one big over procaution taken to an extreme measure... a very extreme measure.
I understand what you refer as I did presume you encountered this problem. One of the statement in my original post is addressed to your issue, I apologise for not making it more clear for you ...
... in your Steam Library, select Assassin's Creed Rogue, on the right-hand side listings you should find CD-Key under the selection for DLC ... click the selection for CD-Key and copy it in to Uplay's activation box.
hey thanks man i figured it out and i was dum founded when I saw CD key... thanks again for the help man
Just because it's easier to play a pirated version doesn't give you any grounds to be upset with Ubisoft. They're only taking the necessary steps to protect their software while still providing it on Steam. It's hardly an inconvenience anyways, you enter the key once and it's on your account forever.
