Problem black screen after logo on loading the game

after it shows the assassin creed logo and said assassins creed it goes to black screen and just stays like that i verified game cashe and run as admin and no it not a hardware issue. so wont go to main menu

Sounds like a VGA issue, check to make sure you have the latest drivers for your graphics.

Same problem here; juste after the AC Rogue logo, the screen stays black.
Of course re install didn't work for me.
Any solution ?

Looks like a driver doozy, mobo chipset, bios, graphics driver, physx driver, check em all.

Its a dx10 vs 11 issue, you get the black screen because you are using directx10 max hardware while the game gets launched by default into 11 (prob old card or integrated chip) even tho the store page says this game is dx10 friendly, it isnt. You can bypass it with the program for win 8 that let you choose the direct x version for the rogue exe and trick it into thinking its dx11. Ubi probably gonna release a hotfix and make it dx10.

I believe in Ubisoft release fix dx10 and then I buy the game
Because the Black Flag was good run on my video card

I had this problem for 2-3 days and I tried all recomanded solutions online and nothing worked util I found the answer in AC4 black flag forum. This works 100% for rouge too.

"I discovered what my problem was: corrupted saves. At the starting screen (disclaimer etc.) the game tries to save/check those saves. If they are corrupted the game crashes. I made a copy of my saves and then removed them from the default save folder ( C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\<User ID>\<Number> the Number may be 273, however it was not in my case. Also if you are running a x32 bit copy of the OS it may be just Program Files instead of Program Files (x86)). The game now works. This solution was provided to me by Ubisoft. I will try to see if it is possible to recover my progress."
