Unable to start/play AC Rogue
I own 4 other AC titles and have never had technical issues starting/playing games through Steam/Uplay. Just got Rogue over holidays and activated it via UPlay and have been unable to start/run it. When I select the play button on Steam/Uplay The Steam initiation window pops up for a few seconds then disappears followed by nothing... Hoping someone can help guide me to successful gameplay. Thanks.

Update: I was able to get it too boot and play by changing the AssasinRogue.ini in \Documents\Assassin's Creed Rogue folder to BorderlessWindow=1
I have a 1440p monitor so I lowered display to DisplayWidth=1920 DisplayHeight=1080

Same here, I'm on Windows 10

I have had this problem ever since win 10 came out. I put in a tic and they said it was not made for win 10. ok? all other ac games work on win 10. Reinstalled today to see if there was a fix. If I run compatibility mode on the exe. it works up till I get in game then shoots down to the task bar. This is on a saved game so I will try a new game and see if it runs right.

I've had this problem with every game in the series.

I fix it by running the program as an admin.

Right click Rogue
Properties
Local Files
Broswe Local Files
Right Click ACC.exe
Compatability
Run This Program as an Administrator
Apply
Okay
Run the game from Steam.

Just tried what Lulu suggested. When I try to run as admin, it says it can't run the game because I'm missing the MSVCP110.dll file and suggests I reload software. I've only removed and downloaded game about 15 times in the last 4 weeks. This is getting old... Turning Windows Defender off in hopes that will help.

OK. I dowloaded the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4 at:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/download/details.aspx?id=30679

This update loaded the MSVCP110.dll file back on my computer. I have been able to start and play AC Rougue. Success!!
