...but Uplay has no forums or message boards where players can exchange information or help each other with solving game related problems. I hope the Steam Forums moderators will bear with me this once for asking my question here. I thank you in advance.

Here's my issue:
I just redeemed the 'Katana' Sword & Dagger set that you can unlock at Uplay if you have 30 Uplay points. When I "purchased" the 'Katana' it immediately said I had unlocked it and it was now available to me in the game.

However, I haven't been able to equip the Katana. In fact, it is still grayed out - which is done to items you cannot yet purchase because you either have to progress further in the game or you don't have the in-game amount of money to buy it. It is also done to items that you have to 'redeem' at Uplay in order for them to become available for purchase.

Now, in the case of the Katana there is no additional cost applied, no in-game amount of money that you have to pay. All you have to do is 'redeem' the item at Uplay. YET in this case the Katana is not only still greyed out, the text beside it still tells me I have to redeem it at Uplay by paying 30 Uplay points (or units, or something like that).

So I returned to Uplay just to be sure, and I couldn't redeem the item since I had already done so which it said loud and clear at my Uplay page. Yet I cannot access and equip the Katana sword and dagger.

Here's my question:
Have anybody else among my fellow Assassin's Creed: Rogue players run into this problem? And if you have, what did you do to solve it? Did it work? Did you manage to get access to and equip the Katana (or if you 'redeemed' something else)?

If anybody can advice me about how to gain access to my Katana, I will be most grateful.

Dumb answer but maybe shut down your computer and restart it

is it possible you can only access dlc weapons, when you become a templar? dlc outfits/weapons unlock then. are you still an assassin? i redeemed the assassin killer outfit, got it when i was a templar.

Thanks for replying guys. For some reason I just had to keep going into the cabin and try equipping the Katana, and suddenly, just now, it worked. No idea what triggered it - Id already tried logging out and back in as well as restarting my computer, none of that worked. So it's kind of a mystery. Still, it finally works. :)
