"Crashes" on startup, no errormessage
I bought, downloaded and played the game for apparently about 100hours last night, then went to bed. When I woke up today I wanted to continue, only to have my screen go black for a couple of seconds before flashing between the black screen and the background of Steam, before kicking me out. The game is still in the taskbar, but whenever I try to "open"/enter the game that is apparently still playing, the same thing happens again.
For every time I get kicked out back to Steam, the Steam window keeps getting smaller and smaller for some reason. :steamfacepalm:

NOTHING else, besides the actual game, is new since I played it last night, and it was working perfectly, had all my graphics settings on full and all that even.

I'm playing on Windows 10 which I know there's some issues with, but I just find it VERY strange considering it worked amazingly last night.
I've gone through the support page with the list of different programs that might interfer, but I don't have any of those active/open at all.
I've also deleted ALL files AND re-installed it THREE times now.

I bought the game yesterday through the Steam sale, NOT through Uplay.

Anyone else have this problem, and know a way around it?

You got (((screwed))) by ubisoft. They hate gamers, and hate you. All they want is your money.
Ich konnte das Startproblem/Black Screen-Problem auf folgende simple Art und Weise lösen:
1. ini-File zu Assassin’s Creed Rogue öffnen. (Bei mir unter Dokumente  Assassin’s Creed Rogue)
2. BorderlessWindow=0 zu BorderlessWindow=1 ändern.
3. ini-file speichern.
Seitdem habe ich keine Probleme mehr. Vielleicht klappt es ja auch bei anderen. 😊

English:
I could solve the start-up/black screen problem this way:
1. Open the ini-file of AC Rogue (In my case in Documents  Assassin’s Creed Rogue)
2. Change BorderlessWindow=0 to BorderlessWindow=1
3. Save the file.
Didn’t have any problems after that. Hope it helps others as well. 😊
