Lol this was an old thread... I never did find out and gave up
The game does not officially support a refresh rate higher than 60hz. However, I found a forum discussion and a player advised this worked for them -
- Navigate here: \Documents\Assassin's Creed Rogue\
- Open AssassinRogue.ini
- Change the refresh rate manually from 60 to 144
Apparently your refresh rate will now show as "undefined" in-game, however it will work as you'd expect.
I hope that helps!

Hello Ted,
Thank you for the update.
No worries, we're happy to help!
If you have any additional questions, please let us know.

Hey Otecigri.
Sorry to hear this workaround hasn't worked for you!
Could you please copy / paste how you've entered the line into the .ini file so we can ensure it's been entered correctly?
Thank you!

change the .ini file to "read-only" after saving
thank you for your help. I did that but still it doesn't do 144hz, it stays stuck at 60 fps. I've tried everything but seems unimpressed.
Hey MOGWAI,
Just checking, does your framerate show as 'undefined' when in-game?
- Ubisoft Support
yes i have checked and the resolution says undefined. is my hardware too weak? R7 3700X RTX2080 32Gb 3200 no OC and no UV everything on standard ,game is on the ssd. I also prefer maximum performance in the nvidia control panel because the VGA is not fully utilized in the game and I have set the windows energy saving plan to maximum performance but the game is not interested and gets stuck at 60fps. I've already played through the game but I I wanted to repeat it again and if necessary 60 fps is enough. It's still a very good game for me. Sorry for my bad English, I used a translator
Unfortunately the game is not made for over 60 FPS gameplay, your hardware is way more than enough for the max framerate at the best settings. I have an 11600K, 2070 Super, 4000mhz CL18 memory and it's about the same. I only needed 144hz so I didn't have to break my game after alt tabbing. Hope that helps.
