What do the colors on the map mean, for the soldiers and the forts? Capturing forts.
I get it that red is the british, enemies. Is the blue some kind of neutral? All of the forts I have seen dont attack me and I can walk freely amongst the soldiers. Am I too early in the game to capture forts? I just killed Washington and found that air gun on his ship.

I read somewhere that the orange mobs are assasins? Someone thought they were colonists.

Mainly wondering about capturing forts. Would I attack a blue fort? I read somewhere that you dont caputre forts until sometime in the 3rd part of the game.

Red is for ALL soldiers (both britbongs and baguettes), they're neutral by default and will attack only if you enter Army-guarded areas (toned red on the map). Blue are allied soldiers (spawned only in Frontier Engagements) and British Royal Navy ships. Yellow/orange are bandits and assassins (enemy Indian ambushers are also in that category). Forts become blue only after you capture them and collect all stuff within and yes, you don't get to take them until you join the Brits.

ok, thanks. So all of the forts being blue now is probably just telling me that I cant take them yet. The one i just visited had orange troops in it and the fort was blue on the map. So it had bandit/assasins troops in it.

I dont remember the colors being like that in earlier games.

Did you play the Black Flag? Its even better! If you love Rogue you should play Black Flag for sure, but still i recommend all ac games

Yeah, I played Black Flag too and it was great. I am wondering when I will be able to hunt sea creatures? Looks like the ship wrecks are above water, I wont need a diving bell?

The income is nice, Im already up to about 6700 per turn income. Are there other areas besides NY that you can capture for income or is that the only city?

Nah you wont dive in rogue, sadly. I dont exaclty remember when you will be able to harpoon. As a guy who owns all but last 2 ac games, i think Rogue is sweet but too short in my opinion. I liked the ice and the cold after tropic parts from Black Flag. But i didnt really like the story, it was much better in black flag and in ac 3 and also much more sad. Still its a good game to play but black flag and 3 are better to me

New york is the only city in rogue. There is also river valley and north atlantic. You can find loot there and sell it for money

Ok, ive got just one more gang headquarters to take over then all of NY is mine! Figure I take over early and enjoy the cash flowing in longer that way. Did the same thing in Unity, think that was the one, where you rehab inns that bring in cash. Never want for money the rest of the game. Just a matter of getting in to the bank to pick up the cash.
