Rogue, as it turned out, was the better game.
Think of Rogue like that girl you can't keep your eyes off of, and Black Flag like the one that's standing behind you trying to get your attention after you've been together for awhile.
Both are great, Just be warned:
Do NOT get the season pass, get the gold edition if you want the dlc as the season pass doesn't even contain all of it; then again, It doesn't matter too much.

for good story but short (for fans or who played ac 3 and ac unity) it's same from black flag but it's more polish better mechanic weapon but medium area maps
i guess you will find out templar is a good one
is very similiar to black flag
i say black flag it's orginal idea more beautifull because is carribean
rogue is same experience as black flag
Black Flag was by far my favourite Assassin's Creed. I haven't played this one yet, but I can definitely recommend Black Flag, it's worth getting it! Probably getting both is a good start.
Rogue does have a more interesting story to me, though I wish they'd flesh out the setting better (seriously the Ft. William Henry massacre was laughable in this game). There are LOTS of animation bugs and some sound issues, the music is pretty drab too.
It's ultimately Black Flag set in North America and the Arctic. If you like that then you'll get some kicks out of the game like I certainly did.
