All of a sudden ground zeroes low framerate/long load times
hello, i bought ground zeroes on pc launch day and it ran perfectly with good framerate at mostly high settings for about 2 days

but today when i start up the game, it takes 2-3x longer to load up and the game looks choppy and even getting into the missions take 2-3x longer

im not sure why this happened, i restarted my computer and try to realunch but same problem

my computer is also not overheated so it not that

any idea on why this happened all of a sudden

heres my pc specs:

GeForce GT 750M
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4700MQ CPU @ 2.40GHz
8.00 GB RAM
1920x1080, 60hz

I'm having the same problem. Game ran fine maxed out on my PC and it never dipped below 60 fps, now it takes forever to load and the frame rate is really low.

My PC is also not overheating.

My PC specs:
GTX 780 Ti
i7 4790k
16GB DDR3
1920x1080, 60hz

Would really like to know a solution to this problem.
yo my situation got fixed with the new nvidia patch, if thats an nvidia graphics card get the new driver upadate for ground zeroes it made it back to normal

I think I have the latest driver installed and I'm still getting that problem. I'll try reinstalling it and see if that helps with my current situation.

Thanks for the reply!

memory leak issue. i wouldn't download nvidia drivers though, after ver 314, it tend sto make your pc lock up

I've heard of the memory leak issue, and I don't believe thats the problem. The game has never crashed and I've never gotten the "out of memory" error.

The game seems to be working fine again after reinstalling the driver. Maxed out and it never dips below 60 fps. Going to try this out for a few days and hopefully this fixes the issue.

Update: Problem came back. I might try an older driver to see if that resolves the problem for me. I'll also investigate to see if it is a memory leak.

you are using the 347.09 nvidia driver? i was really surprised at how well this drivers been working. many of the newer drivers seem to cause me problems till now.
Evangelion 28 DIC 2014 a las 21:24
Yes, I am using the new 347.09 driver. The problem is still happening and it only goes away after I reinstall the driver.

Kinda annoying to keep reinstalling it everytime I want to play just to have a good framerate. I also reinstalled Windows to see if there was a problem with my OS and it did not solve the problem.

I've seen that thread already.

I've tried number 1 countless of times and it still has not fixed this problem.

I tried the beta last night. Still got some pretty bad performance.

And I thought it was just AMD problem.I upgraded from a 6770 to a R9 280 yesterday and I get worse performance at same settings...

I've tried overclocking my 780 ti and I still get the same results. The main menu runs buttery smooth in the beta update, but the game performs just as bad as the non beta version. I know its just a beta, but still.

So far the only temporary fix I've found is to reinstall the driver before I boot up the game. When I do that, the game runs really smooth and it never dips below 60 fps on ultra settings, but doing that every time I want to play is annoying and it gets old really quick.
