METAL GEAR SOLID V: GROUND ZEROES

Mouse Sensitivity When Zoomed In
It's crazy, it doesn't scale at all, it's nearly impossible to aim while zoomed on. Please fix this.

I completly agree it's so annoying, that is a improvement to add to TPP too, hope they patch it.

Agree completely. Mouse sensitivity should scale with zoom level.

Coldsmoke lähetti viestin:
If your mouse has adjustable DPI then just lower the in-game sensitivity to the lowest setting and bump up the DPI. It works perfectly. If you don't have that option maybe try raising the windows sensitivity instead.
The problem is, when in third person or even aiming down sights sensitivity is perfect, but it does not scale with zoom level, which means that at, say, x5 zoom level mouse is 5 times faster than usual, which is big problem for those of us who would like to use, say, sniper rifles from time to time - on max zoom level my mouse moves half an inch with each little motion, eliminating renegade threat was quite a challenge..

Not everyone has mice with adjustable DPI, it's a workaround rather than a solution.

At first it's maybe annoying, but I quickly adapted to it and I don't see a problem anymore.

Good on you!

Carry on.
I agree. I've just been aiming in third person, mainly because its easy enough for me to make even distant shots in third person.

But it won't due for sniping. I'm hoping a patch will fix the 'camera speed in first person' option in the menu. Its there, but it does not work.

Is there such an option? Maybe it's controller/gamepad exclusive? Don't recall there being such for mouse.
It could be gamepad exclusive, which would explain why it does nothing for me.

But its there, called camera options I think, where you can also adjust the third-person look speed and other things. Ideally it should work for mouse as well.

I know what you meant because I had the same thing happen to me but I used my brain to figure out solutions.

I literally gave you an alternative if you don't have adjustable DPI, but instead you totally ignore it and have an attitude like a spoiled self entitled brat.

And I want the game to have a native solution that won't require looking up rather obscure tweaks on some forum thread, not to mention possibility of those tweaks to affect more than just this single game.

Choose your words, please, no good will come out of this discussion if we go biting each other's necks.

Get real. Just because you are clueless and demand everything be fixed at once like a bratty child doesn't mean that it's "obscure". You should be more grateful, and patient with Kojima there are not many developers out there who produce a AAA quality game without some publisher demanding features get cut so it gets released on schedule.

Anyone with a semi functional mind can comprehend that it takes no time at all to change the sensitivty back to the default setting. 0% possibility to affect anything else.

Choose your words
You really should.

Haha! Nice try :D:

Well played. Now carry on.

It's pretty interesting how when you get put in your place with valid logical points you totally ignore them once again and say emotional nonsense.

Lulz.

It is also interesting how you assume your points are the only points that are valid, when in fact both sides just have different approaches to the same problem. I'm not sure if it a simple misunderstanding or good ol' arrogance.

That "fix" you suggested requires tinkering with Windows settings each time you'd want to play the game and after closing it as well, and that's on top of having to find it first, since not every player knows as much about inner workings as some of us. It works, but it's busywork. I appreciate your finding, but it'll be better for everyone if this workaround won't be needed at all and game natively adjusts sensitivity for when you zoom the camera, saving time. Besides, controller already has separate first person camera sensitivity setting, so it'll be logical for the mouse should have one as well.

What I said is a pretty reasonable conclusion. Your emotional hollow responses reaffirm that pretty well.

You got a solution to your problem yet you are not satisfied because you have an uneducated view on game development. It's a demo. The game is unfinished. A lot of things need fixing obviously so its pretty pointless to act stuck up about it.

I highly doubt someone who doesn't know how to change their mouse sensitivity in windows would be playing Metal Gear Solid 5. People who understand what they bought would most likely be appreciative of finding a solution to a frustrating problem. Especially considering the game is unfinished. Which means you have to accept problems like this if you value a higher quality end product thanks to lack of overbearing greedy publishers.

But you choose to ignore 90% of what I said then respond with emotional nonsense because your ego of believing you can't ever be wrong and everyone has to cater to your uneducated opinions on the industry.

They will get around to fixing it because they know what they are doing and have higher prioity concerns at the moment. You have a fix so be grateful for it and stop the needless condesending stuck up attitude.
So in the end it's arrogance, I see.

Well, thanks for bumping this thread anyway, it has some feedback that I hope will get noticed in all the flaming.
