METAL GEAR SOLID V: GROUND ZEROES

Your preference: keyboard & mouse or controller?
I am trying to figure out the best way to play this game, and wanted some input from the Steam community. In your opinions, what works best? Keyboards and mice or controllers? I love being able to aim a gun with my mouse, but walking and CQC seem smoother on a controller. Thoughts?

On the helicopter level? And you want S on hard? M&K all day.

Everything else is more satisfying with a controller (everything else is also less of a FPS than that side-op).

controller

I use a the NVIDIA shield controller most of the time. With stealth games, i don't find it pleasing having to hold down a button when i want to walk slowly. Controllers really streamline the movement in this.

It terms of combat, mouse wins with out a doubt.

I guess there's nothing stopping me from using a controller and switching to M&K on the fly for combat stuff. Thanks for the input.

Be careful with that. There's a horrible bug when you switch from controller to keyboard, that if you sprint using the keyboard, sometimes the controller will be unable to move the camera and do certain actions.

Wow, hopefully that will get patched.

Anyway, I just ran throught the main mission in half an hour using a controller. Was waaaaaaaay easier than M/K. I've played this many times on PS3 but it just doesn't hold a cadle to PC.

mouse and keyboard is the only way to play any kind of game that requires any modicum of precision.

anyone that claims controller likes auto aim or soft lock.

+This.

Only thing consoles are good for: racing games.

not really. getting a wheel and playing a racing game on pc in glorious 64bit, quadcore, etc with modding ability makes console racing another redundant thing.

What about sport and fighting games?

Okej I can see why you wrote that, but you're gonna have to excuse me, cus I meant controllers.

I prefer Mouse and Keyboard. That way, I can reliably shoot the guards with Reflex turned off, and actually shoot what I aim at (the wide curser still works a reasonable simulation of combat accuracy). I do wish they'd fix the sensitivity issue when you zoom in, though.

I prefer to use a controller if it is a single player game as I am more casual but if it's an online game like battlefied then it has to be keyboard and mouse no question as I need that pin point accuracy for that competative edge.

Xbox360 controller, except for one mission, Intel Operative Rescue, mouse helps a lot for that one.

This game doesn't require that much precision. A slow analog stick works just fine unless you're running and gunning, and if you're doing that you're doin it wrong. Walk up and choke them out you pansies--no aiming required.

also I pop the battery on my controller for a quick second to shut it off when I switch to M&K if I should desire to do so--that should alleviate some bugs. I do it all the time it's become second nature to just pop the battery and pop it back bingbangboomdone before setting the controller down.

Controller for easy variance in movement speed. Keyboard simply doesn't have that. Also aside from Intel Op rescue there's really no need for such precise quick aiming, unless you're ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ garbage and you go loud after 20 seconds.
