there is a step by step how to set it up for new install ,do everything said there and you are pretty much done
I use it as well, its malware free and easy to use. Dont use Mjoy or DS3 tools, this one is better .
You can even connect your controller via bluetooth and stuff, it works as a xbox controller with this driver.
you dont have to set up your settings every time like mjoy drivers and it works automatically and all the time. I love it

Wich windows are you using?
If you are using 8 /8.1
Install sixaxis driver, connect your PS3 controller with usb, open SCP driver , install driver, (the led on the ps3 controlley have to change and light like is in charge) close scp driver, open SCP server and click on the home button on ps3 controller, the pc should make a sound and you should see your controller set to port 1 and in charge, with Scp monitor you can change the button, and the tringer as you wish

If you are using windows 7 you have to download Xbox 360 controller driver from microsoft also

Connect usb to ps3 controller, turn down the power to the ps3 or it will go on, open scp server and press home button
