PS3 Controller on PC w/Ground Zeroes
I'm trying to use the DS3 Tool on Windows 8.1 so I can use a PS3 controller. (I hate the 360 controller). Has anyone gotten this to work? The PS3 controller vibration test works in motioninjoy as well as all the properties showing up correctly.

I have a PS4 controller as well, I'd be happy with either working. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

*got this working by switching in motioninjoy to the 360 controller emulation. Anyone know if you can get PS3 buttons to show up in game, instead of the 360 ones?

I prefer M&K but I played with the DS3 two or three times using SCP driver, I think.

Got it working through the 360 controller emulation on motioninjoy. Anyone know if you can get the PS3 buttons to show up in game instead of the 360 buttons?

No the game doesn't support anything but xbox-style buttons and gamepads. So you'll have to deal with the lacklustre buttons. ALTERNATIVELY, you can look for a mod online to replace the button textures with PS buttons, and load it up. But the vanilla game does not support it.

i'm not even sure if windows supports even ds4 input, tbh i think its b/c its microsofts os and they also make the xbox. so its something out of uniformity

Dump that MotionJoy garbage and get Better DS3.

i tried better ds3 but it didnt work, i needed a dedicated bluetooth dongle, it wouldn't even connect to my built in bluetooth

Windows does not have native support, however applications are allowed to add their own device drivers and support it themselves. In a weird turn of events though OSX actually supports DS3 and DS4 natively, which makes me laugh.

I managed to get both the ps4 and the ps3 controller working through DS3 and emulating them as a 360 controller, however the ps4 controller did work fine but you wont get the same features like on the ps4 version such as the touchpad and the voice sounds that play through the controller speaker.

Do NOT use MotionJoy. That ♥♥♥♥ is buggy, apparently adware infested and causes BSoDs. Use Xinput Wrapper instead: http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-XInput-Wrapper-for-DS3-and-Play-com-USB-Dual-DS2-Controller?pid=186161#pid186161.

BetterDS3 is just front-end for motioninjoy.
you have to install motioninjoy driver or SCP Driver first.

and also sync MAC address of DS3 and BT dongle VIA miniUSB cable first.
(exactly, it's change DS3 inside's MAC address to same as BT dongle.
same way when PS3/DS3 sync. it's also using when sync DS3/DS4 to Android Phone/Tablet)

That doesn't work with DS3.
