The chopper getting spotted doesn't give you an alert unless they see YOU. Its happened to me many times when I call the chopper in early for a quick extract (Mainly in destroy anti air emplacements, so that I get out just as the counter begins to tick down).
It literally is about time. If you're trying for S rank, then don't worry about getting spotted ONCE or getting a single kill if you have to. A good example of this is the ground zeroes mission with Paz; sneaking her out and ggetting no alerts is a lot harder and takes a lot longer than just putting her in the truck and driving away asap. You get 1 alert, but you finish within roughly 2 minutes depending on the chopper situation. If you're going for S rank, speed is the easiest way to get it. If you're gonna spend time rescueing people, then rescue ALL the people so that its worth it (I think rescueing people gets you a higher score anyway tbh but still.)
Good luck! :)
I know that, but the guy I was replying to seemed like he was having a hard time so I was just describing another way of thinking about it :)
I think in the anti-air there ends up being a car of people that arrive AFTER you blow up the 3 AA guns. And maybe a bunch more soldiers along w the tank? I guess you have to stealth neutralize them while the tank is around so that it doesn't kill you. And mark/neutralize everyone before blowing up the tank so you don't have that ticking clock.
Does this sound right to anyone that has done it?
Just so you know, these trials aren't manditory and if you have done the "Mark All Enemies" trial you do not need anymore for 100%. As for doing it, yes, there are 4 more people who enter during the AA guns mission, unsure when. If you want to do neutralise then I'd literally just run round and kill people, I don't see how that could fail but I haven't done it. I've only done the marking one, and I did find it a bit of a struggle seeing as they start running everywhere, but take your time and use checkpoints; you're not after an S rank so no need to be super perfectionist about trials if you just wanna complete them.
Played first mission, rescued all pows even the one to be executed. rescue chico and paz and half the base is sleeping. run for spawnpoint and call chopperextract....as i fly away in the very last 10 seconds i get spotted.
Rank A.
Dang it!
The jeep that circles the compound after you rescue paz. Where it comes from and which guard it is? Would love to know so i can put him sleeping to. Or i put the whole ♥♥♥♥♥♥ base to sleep. I dont care.
its still unknown if putting guards on the chopper will give u extra soldiers or not.
1 Alert won't make you an A rank from an S rank, unless your time allowed your points to go dangerously close to an A rank. You could either make sure the jeep doesn't spot you by waiting a bit, or you can speed it up a bit and then it won't matter too much considering you rescued all POWs. Put it this way as I said it before, rushing to rescue Chico and rushing to rescue paz with no alerts or checkpoints, then using the truck to escape with paz with a really fast time regardless of alert should make getting S rank a bit easier if you're struggling :)
