Distracting enemies
In the first MGS from '98 there's a way to distract or better 'lure' guards, by knocking on walls.
I'm having trouble finding a way to do this in Ground Zeroes, or... there just isn't one... which one is it?

thx.

Yeah, its a little bit annoying there isnt feature for wall tapping. I found equiping the empty magazine and throwing it at the wall is the best work around for this.

No knocking here. I hope this will be featured in TPP. I was a little bit annoyed when I could not search soldiers for a supplies.

Oh so I'm not the only one who missed the knocking thing and the loot searching ability... kewl!
thx for the replies guys!

Knocking is in PP, it wasn't going to be but they put it in after complaints about GZ not having it. (from what I can tell there's a lot of ways to distract people besides from knocking in PP, but they're simply not available in GZ)

The knock on wall option was visible in the latest Gamescom trailer.

In The Phantom Pain you can now use your bionic arm to attract attention to your position.

Nah, his arm just kinda spins around and sparks. I`m going to see if I can find a video where I saw it.

Timestamp that shows when Snake uses his "Knock" ability that is just his arm whirring around, making sounds to attract guards.

Nice, that's all I want.. cause I don't feel I'm actually in control if I can't lure someone to me and take him out how I want to.

That's really lame, they should give you that option in case there is not a wall but keep the knocking anyway

He can use it anywhere.

I think he's aware of that, he simply prefers the actual knocking over the bionic arm sound

I see now. Is it really that important?

Technically perhaps not but to some people I imagine it's like the cardboard box being replaced with a trashcan... sure it has the same effect, but I imagine most people would prefer the C.Box :)
